Grimoire NieR Rerelease Set for July 2021

Grimoire Nier Rerelease

Square Enix will rerelease Grimoire NieR, a collection of extended materials from the NieR universe, on July 9, 2021 in Japan. The previous version included various novellas, along with extended character biographies and a complete collection of weapon stories from NieR Replicant and NieR Gestalt. This reprint will be an “expanded and revised” version of the previously released material. [Thanks, Famitsu and GameStalk!]

However, pre-orders for the updated collection will begin sometime soon and will cost a total of ¥2,970 (roughly $27). More information regarding it will appear in the future. The new, revised version of the grimoire will be a total of two hundred and seventy-two pages long. This version will be substantially larger in size, to accommodate various character concept art and illustrations. There is currently no indication whether or not this collection will be localized or made available to Western audiences.

Square Enix has yet to announce f any information will be added to this collection of NieR specific works. However, the official listing for the book does mention that it will feature information from the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 4 releases of NieR Replicant.

NieR Replicant is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Free NieR: Automata cosmetic DLC content is currently available.
