Additionally, fishing will receive some changes to make it easier to understand. Shortly ahead of release, Square Enix has shared several trailers. One of which is a live action trailer that is set in Shinjuku, while the other features Kaine’s famous quote. However, both of these trailers are fairly spoiler heavy. This trailer changed the perspective of some of the activities you can participate in, such as fishing, portraying these actions in a more provincial way.

While the item drop rates in NieR Replicant remain mostly the same, a recent gameplay broadcast illustrated the changes made to the combat. The recent broadcast on YouTube and the Japanese broadcasting service NicoNico showed off some of the more extensive changes. An archive of the YouTube broadcast is currently available to watch.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in the West on April 23, 2021.
