Capcom has opened preloads for the upcoming Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta. Downloading requires a Capcom ID and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The open beta will officially start on April 8, 2021, from 3PM JST. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Re:Verse will come free with Resident Evil Village, the newest title in the Resident Evil franchise. It is a multiplayer deathmatch-style game, featuring prominent characters such as Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy. Once defeated in battle, players then transform into an enemy to continue fighting. By collecting Virus Capsules they can transform into bigger and stronger enemies.
Previously, Capcom announced the minimum specs for Resident Evil Village as well as the open beta dates for Re:Verse, but did not specify a preload date. Now players will be able to download the game two days before it launches for open beta. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners will also be able to play the open beta, using the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game respectively.
More information about the open beta test is available via the Re:Verse official site.
