Tokyo Video Gamers, a gaming cafe and bar located in Akihabara, has opened a concept bar based off of Iori Yagami from King of Fighters for a limited time. Starting on March 23 and ending April 11, 2021, consumers will be able to order items inspired by the character. For a limited time, exclusive merchandise will be sold at Tokyo Video Gamers. However, some of these goods will also be sold through the official SNK shop at a later date. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Inspired food items include a beef tendon stew, a beverage based on his pyrokinetic skills, and a draft beer. Additionally, consumers that spend specific amounts at the restaurant can receive limited edition merchandise as a reward. This includes an Iori Yagami or a Heavy D coaster, which the customer picks themselves if they purchase over ¥3,300 (or $30) in food items or SNK merchandise. Customers that spend over ¥8,800 (or $80) at the concept restaurant will receive a special mini-bar mirror featuring King of Fighters concept art of Iori Yagami.
More King of Fighters merchandise includes two Iori Yagami cushions inspired by artwork from King of Fighters ’97 and King of Fighters ’98. Glasses inspired by the character, keychains, bar can notepads, synthetic leather key cases, collaboration event mugs, and a coaster modeled after a record.
