Tetris 99 Super Mario 3D World Event Adds a Bowser’s Fury Theme

The next Tetris 99 Maximus Cup will appear this weekend. This time, people have a chance to earn a Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Tetris 99 theme inspired by the game’s new elements. It will run between March 5-8, 2021.

The new theme shows Mario and Bowser Jr. at the feet of Fury Bowser. This is the new version of the villain people face at Lake Lapcat, the new location in the Bowser’s Fury mode. The music playing is a new theme song for the area. It also replaces traditional Tetris 99 sound effects with ones from the new game.

Here’s a brief trailer showing off the Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Tetris 99 theme. If you unlock the theme via earning 100 points, it is yours to use whenever you’d like.

This is the second new Tetris 99 theme in 2021. The first showed off characters and elements from Kirby Fighters 2.

Tetris 99 is available for free for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers and can be purchased alone. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is available for the Nintendo Switch.
