Monster Hunter Rise will release on PC sometime in early 2022. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Yasunori Ichinose sat down in an interview with Famitsu where they shared this news, alongside other tidbits of Monster Hunter Rise related information. Tsujimoto mentioned that while the release is far off, the team hopes to provide a more concreate release date as soon as it has been decided. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Rumors of a Monster Hunter Rise PC port were circulating and it turns out they were true. However, it seems that this release will be just about a year off from the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which is scheduled to launch on March 26, 2021. Monster Hunter Rise will feature an entirely new locale, and a handful of never before seen monsters.
In the interview Tsujimoto mentions that a strong request from overseas audiences led to the PC port’s development. Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne were smash successes, with Monster Hunter: World now leading as Capcom’s most profitable title. This was bolstered due to the game being available on various platforms, including PC.
Monster Hunter Rise will release for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. A PC release is planned for early 2022.
