New NieR Replicant Images Feature Environments, Combat, and Illustrations

The latest batch of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 images has been released, showcasing the various environments found throughout the world. Additionally, these new images provide a glimpse at how the combat in NieR Replicant has been retooled, as well as new illustrations of the King of Façade and Fyra. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The first series of images is of the Northern Plains. This includes a brief look at some of the buildings found in the village. The Northern Plains are now filled with lush, green grass and the village has quite a bit of detail added to it. More images of the city of Façade have also been shared. This includes a look at some of the architecture that was previously shown during the latest gameplay video. You can check out these new images of the environments in NieR Replicant below.

As mentioned previously, new images of the combat system have been shared. This includes a dynamic image of melee combat and how certain effects regarding the use of magic will now appear in NieR Replicant. These effects have been enhanced significantly, making magic more vibrant and distinct.

Lastly, new artwork was created for the King of Façade and Frya. These illustrations have been created by Kimihiko Fujisaka, the character designer for all three Drakengard games. You can take a look at these new illustrations below.

NieR Replicant will feature DLC that will add new weapons and weapon stories into the game. However, this DLC will be entirely free.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 23, 2021.
