Toho has revealed that the 24th Detective Conan (Case Closed) movie, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, will be released in 22 more countries and regions worldwide simultaneously with Japan. [Thanks, Eiga Natalie!]
Japan would usually get a head start on the releases of anime movies, while other countries would have to wait for months. That would have been the case with The Scarlet Bullet had it been released on its original launch date of April 17, 2020. The delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic led to the simultaneous release of the latest Detective Conan movie in many other countries worldwide, for the first time in the series history.
Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet will be available simultaneously in 23 countries and regions across Asia and Europe. Other than Japan, the movie will also air in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, France, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Toho has also published a new Global Opening Movie to celebrate the upcoming worldwide launch of The Scarlet Bullet. You can listen to the Japanese, English, and Korean voices of Shinichi Kudo, as well as the German and Chinese voices of Conan Edogawa in the same trailer.
