The Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will offer a new multiplayer option. To be more specific, four people will get to work together and solve the bonus stages that come up in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. One person will be Captain Toad, while the other three will be Blue, Green, and Yellow Toads.
Here’s a brief gameplay clip showing what it will be like to solve a four-player Captain Toad co-op multiplayer puzzle.

As a reminder, even the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker spin-off game didn’t initially offer multiplayer. The puzzle game was instead a solo sort of affair. It was only in March 2019 that free two-player co-op was added to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury releases on Nintendo Switch on February 12, 2021, and the Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo will launch the same day. It is immediately available on the Nintendo Wii U.
