Konami Amusement released a Gitadora PC version in Japan on December 16, 2020. That means rhythm game players are now able to enjoy both GuitarFreaks and DrumMania at home. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
The game client comes with a Trial version that can be accessed immediately by anyone who has registered a Konami ID and an e-amusement pass. In order to enjoy all of the features in the game, from accessing over 200 songs to more options like key button settings, you will need to pay for a monthly Basic Course subscription. It is priced at 1,628 yen (approximately US$ 15.75).
Konami used to offer GuitarFreaks and DrumMania as two separate arcade games. Although they are collectively known as Gitadora, it wasn’t until 2013 that the two franchises were officially combined into a single title. The latest arcade version in the series is Gitadora NEX+AGE, which launched in 2019.
The Gitadora PC version joins the ever-growing list of Konami’s Bemani games released on the platform. Previously, Konami launched a beta test for Pop’n Music Lively in September 2020; its full version went gone live in November 2020. A PC port of Sound Voltex III: Gravity Wars was released in 2017. The first-ever Bemani title available on PCs is Beatmania IIDX Infinitas, which was initially launched in 2015, but recently received a massive update on August 5, 2020.
The Gitadora PC version is now available in Japan.
