Spider-Man Miles Morales Ray-Tracing and 60 FPS Mode Added

You’ll have an option to experience Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales ray-tracing and 60fps gameplay, thanks to a new update from Insomniac Games. A version 1.007.001 patch went out to PlayStation 5 owners. Once applied, you can select the Performance RT Graphics Modes in Settings. [Thanks, FoxEngine and Nibel!]

FoxEngine shared screenshots of the new option in game after the update went out. This new performance mode will adjust “scene resolution, reflection quality, and pedestrian density” so people can take advantage of the PS5’s abilities, so Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales can see what ray-tracing technology can do for the game. However, the game might look a bit different, as it will be prioritizing that and keeping the game running at a steady clip.

This is one of the second features to be added to the game post launch. Prior to this, Insomniac added the ability to transfer save files from a PS4 version of the game to the PS5 release.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with the Ultimate Edition on the PS5 including a remastered version of the original Marvel’s Spider-Man. It has The Game Awards 2020 nominations for Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Performance for Nadji “Miles Morales” Jeter.
