It’s a big day for people who decided to be a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4. Now, you can keep going on the PlayStation 5. Insomniac Games announced the release of the Marvel’s Spider-Man save transfer update. If people have the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game updated, they can now take data from the original and import it to the remastered one.
Insomniac also talked a bit about the Marvel’s Spider-Man save transfer process to help people out. Someone must start the PS4 version, load it up, and choose which saves they will import from within the game. As part of the export process, it automatically adds them to the PS5 version connected to the same PSN ID if you hit the right trigger in the menu. As both Insomniac and K.A. Pedersen pointed out, any PS4 version trophies you earned will be unlocked in the PS5’s Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as part of the save transfer process.
Remember, there’s only one way to get Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on the PlayStation 5. You have to buy a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. This then gives you the updated version of the game with things like Performance Mode.
