Santa Claws is coming to town. Oh wait, that isn’t Santa. That’s the Meowscular Chef, who will be cooking things up for a Monster Hunter movie appearance on December 25, 2020. The movie will get standard and IMAX releases this holiday season in the United States. [Thanks, IGN!]
The new release date isn’t the only news. There’s another trailer looking at the movie. This time, it’s from China and the goal seems to let people see exactly what returning characters will show up. It quickly goes through some notable characters, like Diablos, Nerscylla, and Rathalos. It also suggests that we’ll see monsters fight each other, as the hunter and Artemis discuss a plan that would pit Diablos and Nerscylla against one another. Finally, the over minute and a half of footage closes with our first peek at the movie’s version of the Palice. The meowster chef is back in the kitchen.
This is the second trailer to show up on November 19, 2020. The other was a more general one offering the basic premise. It also introduced Ron Perlman as The Admiral and showed the Hunter teaching Artemis how to cook up some monster meat.
The Monster Hunter movie will appear in theaters on December 25, 2020.
