When The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV’s Digital Deluxe Edition launched, it fell victim to plenty of problems. People who pre-ordered couldn’t pre-load or even download and play the game at all. DLC that should have been included weren’t working. Now, NIS America sent out an alert saying people should have access to the Trails of Cold Steel IV DLC items they deserve.

NIS America’s announcement also explained how to perform a quick action to potentially address any lockout issues. It directed people, particularly those who refunded and bought it again, to go to Restore Licenses in Setting’s Account Management to ensure all rights were enabled on the system. It also said the company is looking at November 5, 2020 survey responses reported by people still suffering from issues to address further problems. The company later tweeted on November 10, 2020 that folks experiencing the lockout should go through the same step to Restore Licenses to resolve that issue.

This addresses Trails of Cold Steel IV DLC problems that people have experienced since about October 28, 2020. As people on Reddit and social media reported, they were unable to acquire the DLC entitled to them, even if they had a physical copy. As a reminder, the Digital Deluxe Edition included the Cold Steel III Costume Bundle, Magical Girl Bundle, Standard Costume Bundle and Swimsuit Bundle.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV is available for the PlayStation 4. It will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021.
