The PS4 version of Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y recently released in Japan, and the game will also get new content through a major update coming soon. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
The story from the major update will be about an all-out attack from the aliens led by Mazera, the main antagonist of Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y. You’ll also get to fight Zodiaraia, the third form of Elna Amami, in a dungeon boss fight. Lord Enma will also appear as a guest Yo-kai. He’ll play the role of a board chairman, and you’ll get to recruit him to your party.
The new multiplayer mode is called Camp Fire. The objective of this mode is to collect firewood while protecting the open fire from enemies. Several Hero Form characters, including Earth Walker, T-Dine, and Momonga Lady, will be powered up in the update. They’ll also get brand-new transformations to go with the buffs. We can expect to see about as much content as the game added in the first major update.
Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: Wai-Wai Gakuen Seikatsu is available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. The game is currently only available digitally. The major update will arrive sometime before the physical copies become available in Japan next month.
