Sorry, PlayStation 4 owners. You’ll have to upgrade to get your R&C fix.
During the gamescom 2020 presentation, an extended look at Rift Apart was shown to audiences. This included a better look at the Dimensionator device and how the new rift mechanic will function. Additionally, Insomniac Game Director Mike Daly elaborated on the different capabilities of the DualSense controller and how these new features will be implemented in Rift Apart.
A new playable character will be making a debut in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Shown briefly at the end of the gamescom 2020 presentation, audiences were given a look at this new design. No further information about this character has been released outside of the initial announcement and short scene at the end of the gameplay presentation. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will be a sequel to the 2014 reboot.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is scheduled to be a “launch” title for the PlayStation 5.
