A new Pac-Man is here and, while it will eventually appear on other platforms, it is kicking things off on Google Stadia. Bandai Namco announced Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle. This 40th anniversary game is getting in on the battle royale trend by allowing people to become one of 64 trying to… well, be the best Pac-Man they can be. Its Stadia demo is available starting on October 20, 2020, and the full game will launch on November 17, 2020 for $19.99.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle, which is developed by Heavy Iron Studios, involves multiple mazes all appearing at once. You’re on one of them, with the other 63 players also trying to survive these labyrinths and be the last one standing even with the other players and ghosts to contend with. But don’t worry, you can make yourself easier to recognize with cosmetic items. A Spectator Mode will also be available, in case you want to watch others play.

This is the second classic game to come to Stadia with a battle royale adaptation in 2020. The last one was Super Bomberman R Online. It is a battle royale version of the Super Bomberman R game available on other platforms, though this time it ended up bringing back the classic Louies. We even talked with Tatsunori Matsuo, the game’s producer, to learn how that project came about back then.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle will come to Google Stadia on November 17, 2020, with the free demo available immediately until October 27, 2020.
