Ichiban Kuji to Release Neon Genesis Evangelion Inspired Makeup Palette Sets Next Year

Ichiban Kuji is planning to release Neon Genesis Evangelion inspired makeup palette sets in March 2021. These include three palettes inspired by Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langely, and Mari Mikanami. Additional products include a line of lip-glosses inspired by various EVAs. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Like all Ichiban Kuji related goods, these will only be available through a raffle. Those interested will need to purchase lottery tickets to enter. Tickets will cost ¥980 or roughly $8 apiece. More information will be revealed at a later date.

As mentioned above, items include three Neon Genesis Evangelion makeup palettes inspired by Rei, Mari, and Asuka. Each palette is inspired by the colors on the individual character’s plug suits. Five lip-glosses are also included in the raffle. These lip colors are inspired by various EVAs, such as Unit-00, Unit-06, Unit-01, Unit-08, and Unit-02. Those who enter will also have the opportunity to win translucent loose powder in an A.T. FIELD design case and a mirror stand featuring the artwork of this collaboration.

Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) AloneEvangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 currently has no release date and has been delayed multiple times.
