Koei Tecmo (then Tecmo Koei) first released Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in December 2012. It followed with a Western release in February 2013 and a Wii U release January and February of 2013. The sequel added more playable characters and an expanded storyline spanning from the Raoh Saga up to the end of the manga.
Additionally, the new mobile release will include more playable characters that aren’t in the original release. These include the Colonel, Boss Fang, Hyui, and Shuren as playable characters. While the game will feature new characters, it will also retain the main Legend Mode that retells the Fist of the North Star story in a mobile twist.
Those interested in trying out the Japanese version of the game can pre-register now for iOS through the App Store and Android via Google Play.
The mobile version of Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2, or Shin Hokuto Musou, will launch as a free-to-play title for iOS and Android devices in Japan in 2020.
