Impa being playable in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity wasn’t the only news about the game to come out of the 2020 Tokyo Game Show. Nintendo also shared a look at a bonus item people will be able to get. There’s an Age of Calamity Training Sword weapon in the game for Link, but it’s only for people who played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Basically, when you play the new Hyrule Warriors, it will check and see if you have Breath of the Wild save data on your system. If it’s found, you get a wooden Training Sword for Link to use in the game.
This is the second piece of equipment that Nintendo highlighted as a bonus item. As a reminder, the Lucky Ladle is the pre-order reward for digital copies. The eShop listing did say it could maybe sold separately someday. It looks about as intimidating as the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Training Sword.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will head to the Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020, with the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Champion amiibo reappearing alongside it. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U.
