The magazine confirms that the heavy soldier class “Fencer” will appear as a representative from Earth Defense Force 4. We’ll also have the Special Soldier class “Air Raider” from Earth Defense Force 5. Lastly, there are two Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain reps with the “Prowl Rider” and “Heavy Strikers” Soldier classes.

The game takes place in a voxel blocky world that is usually a peaceful blocky world, but something caused it to break into pieces. Your mission is to take on these scattered pieces of land as stages while rescuing other members of the Earth Defense Force. There are over 100 characters to recruit, including many from the series as legacy characters. Once you save a member, they’ll join and fight by your side as a “Brother.”

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers will deploy in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on December 24, 2020.  We still don’t have a release date for Earth Defense Force: World Brothers in the West, but it will arrive sometime in 2021.
