The latest Baldur’s Gate 3 community update sheds light on both Twitch and YouTube integration and multiplayer features. In this blog post Larian Studios detailed other aspects of the upcoming title, including how the game will handle cinematic moments during conversations. Basically, you can choose how involved you are. And, if you’re streaming, your audience decides how involved they are.
Through Baldur’s Gate 3 Crowd Choice and integration through either Twitch of YouTube, those watching a stream will be able to interact with the game in real-time. This means that you will be able to chose the next story path or dialogue option for your favorite streamer. Larian staff also mentioned that players will be able to interact with the player’s inventory, spells, and skills. However, they did not mention in what capacity they will be able to interact with those extra elements.
As for the Baldur’s Gate 3 multiplayer, Larian went into detail about the cinematic aspects of this feature. Players will be able to initiate conversations, and additional players can choose to either watch the conversation or participate if they want to engage. This means that other players can do as they wish while another party member is in a conversation with an NPC.
