Today, D3 Publisher unveiled another game countdown page, where a new game by developer Felistella will be revealed on September 8, 2020. While not much information can be gleaned from the countdown website at the moment, what is interesting is that it credits Felistella as the developer of the Summon Night 5. The world and story of the new game is also written by Kei Miyakozuki, who was also one of the writers on the Summon Night series. D3 Publisher also revealed that a hint towards the game’s identity will be added to the countdown site on September 7, 2020, around 5pm JST.

Considering that Summon Night is an IP owned by Bandai Namco, it is unlikely that the game will be a new title in the series, which hasn’t gotten a new game since Summon Night 6 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. That said, considering the developer and writer, it is possible that the game is set to be an RPG in a similar genre.

For those unfamiliar with the Summon Night series, it is a series of grid-based strategy RPGs revolving around Summoners who can create contracts with beasts to do battle. Apart from the series, Felistella has also worked on Marvelous’ Luminous Arc Infinity, and Compile Heart games like the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth games, and most recently, Azur Lane: Crosswave.

The new Felistella-developed D3 Publisher game will be revealed on September 8, 2020.
