A free Shiny Amoonguss is being given out to all Pokemon Sword and Shield players to commemorate the Trainer’s Cup currently ongoing in Korea. While in the past these sorts of giveaways would be limited by region, thanks to the Switch being region-free, any player with the game can enter the code in roder to receive the gift. The free Shiny Pokemon is obtainable by going to Mystery Gift in your menu in-game, and entering the following code: TRA1NERSCUP. The Amoonguss is Lv. 50, and is locked so that it comes with full IVs in every stat except for Attack and Speed. The Shiny Amoonguss is EV trained as well. The Pokemon will know the four moves Clear Smog, Spore, Protect, and Rage Powder, all moves that enhance its role as a support Pokemon.
However, for aspiring trainers wishing to obtain the Pokemon, you don’t have that much time. Despite only being revealed today, the free shiny Amoonguss will only be available today until tomorrow, August 10, 2020 at 14:59 UTC, so the best course of action is to do so as soon as possible. It might just be the Pokemon you need to help fill out your team.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch. A Pikachu line raid event is currently going on, and will continue until 4:59pm PT on August 9, 2020/1:59am CET on August 10, 2020.
