The Tales of Crestoria Summer Treasure Hunt event has begun, and here’s a guide to outline the best strategies to use when participating in the latest seasonal event. In this guide, I’ll be breaking down what you need to do in order to participate in the event, how to most effectively farm event medals, and how to participate in the Normal, Hard, and Very Hard limited time Raids.
The first thing you will need to do in order to participate in the Summer Treasure Hunt seasonal event is clear out the Stage 1 Summer Treasure Hunt! quest line. It is fairly simple, and players that have spent a decent amount of time with Tales of Crestoria will have no problem clearing it. Stage 1 is only nine missions long, with some of those missions purely being story. Once you’ve completed Stage 1 you’ll have unlocked Stage 2, Gather Mysterious Medals.
Each missions in Stage 2 will increase in difficulty, and without a decent lineup of Water element characters, these missions will become more difficult to complete. My advice is to run missions that are the easiest and fastest for you to complete to minimize and maximize your time spent with the event outside of the Raids, which I’ll be getting to shortly. Running missions quickly and efficiently will have you gaining Event Points to grab the exclusive event rewards and medals in no time.
You might notice that Treasure Maps will drop as you run event missions in Stage 2. Those Treasure Maps can be used to start Event Raids. Similar to previous events, these Raids will drop a plethora of medals and give players a hefty amount of points and experience. My suggestion is to always have a Raid going on while you are farming points–withdrawing from Raids will still give you the rewards if the Raid is completed in your absence. So just try to do your best and make sure to request aid from friends, guild members, and other players.
Once again, you’ll want a roster of beefed up Water element characters if you want to be able to hold your own at the Very Hard difficulty level, but there isn’t any shame in getting wiped within the first few turns. I actually advise starting Very Hard Raids and when your team has been wiped, to temporarily withdraw. Raid leeching is a very real and very good strategy for events. The Normal, Hard, and Very Hard Raids will take a specific amount of Treasure Maps as well, so you will want to continue farming event missions on the side for this reason.
If you’re not sure what to grab from the event shop, Ascension materials are a must. This alleviates the need to participate in non-event Raids while the event is currently underway. Gleamstones are also absolutely worth grabbing, especially with the 1 Million Downloads Campaign just a few days away. There is an SR+ ticket to grab as well. All of these items will cost a different amount of medals, and the Patty [Summer Treasure Hunt] Memoria Stone and the SR+ ticket cost gold medals, which can be obtained through the Normal, Hard, and Very Hard Raids. I highly suggest getting the Memoria Stones from the event too, as Memoria Stones are just as valuable as leveling your units.
The Tales of Crestoria Summer Treasure Hunt event will end on August 17, 2020. Tales of Crestoria is immediately available on Android and iOS.
