Publisher Rainy Frog announced that it will be bringing the early 3D-style horror action game Kwaidan ~Azuma Manor Story~ to the Nintendo Switch. The game was released on PC in 2019, via Steam, and also showed up on the PlayStation 4 in January 2020.
Check out the trailer below:
The title is touted by developer Gudouan as an action game set in a spooky mansion, combined with some point and click elements. There are also some puzzles involving collecting items, and it brings back features from other survival horror games like Resident Evil by doing things like limiting saves. Players can also choose between more modern controls or tank controls that go with the game’s aesthetic.
Story-wise, we follow a young maiden in Japan in the 1930s who must explore the mysterious Azuma Manor, which has been infested by demonic creatures. Only by fully exploring the manor and defeating the menace lurking within can she save the Azuma family. The protagonist is able to use multiple weapons, like the naginata, and she will need to use the right weapon against the right enemy in order to survive.
Kwaidan ~Azuma Manor Story~ will head to the Nintendo Switch in August 2020 in all regions. The game is immediately available on PCs via Steam and the PlayStation 4.
