One of the Devolver Direct 2020 stars has been confirmed. A new Shadow Warrior game was teased on the official Twitter account during the first week of July 2020, and now it has been officially revealed. The first Shadow Warrior 3 trailer is now online. There’s no gameplay yet, as that will come later this week, but it does confirm Lo Wang will be coming back from the previous two games.

While details are slim, we do know a few things. First, the initial video is a teaser revealing the character’s return and game’s existence. Second, the first gameplay footage will show up at 12pm PT/3pm ET on July 11, 2020 during the Devolver Direct 2020 presentation. Third, Lo Wang and Orochi Zilla will find themselves hunting down a dragon in Japan to stop the end of the world, all while relying on katanas and guns to fight foes.

Here’s that first Shadow Warrior 3 trailer, which marks the return of Lo Wang. He has some opinions about both Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital, which he isn’t afraid to voice as he does some stretching.

Shadow Warrior 3 is in development for as-yet unnamed platforms, though a Steam page is already open for the game so we know a PC release is imminent. Gameplay will be shared for the first time on July 11, 2020.
