Back in May 2020, Idea Factory revealed that Otomate Party 2020, which was canceled due to the coronavirus lockdown, would be replaced with a special announcement livestream. The company revealed that the livestream will be called Otomate New Title Party and will take place on July 17, 2020.
Contrary to the name of the livestream, Otomate New Title Party won’t only feature brand-new titles from the romance visual novel brand, but will also feature updates on anticipated, announced games. The livestream will begin on the Otomate channel on Youtube at 9pm JST on July 17th and will be narrated by voice actors Kenichi Suzumura, Kousuke Toriumi, and Showtaro Morikubo.
The longstanding Otomate Party event has always been one where fans were able to converge and discuss their favorite otome games. It was also when new titles and updates on upcoming games were revealed. While the social element has been cut out of this year’s event, Otomate New Title Party is set to bring updates on titles announced in 2019, including Alice in the Country of Spades ~Wonderful White World~ & ~Wonderful Black World~, Time Device Apocalypse, Piofiore no Banshou –Episidio 1926-, and Meiji Kageki Haikara Ryuuseigumi – Seibaishimaseu, Yonaoshi Kagyou.
