It’s been a while since we’ve seen F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch, one of the PlayStation China Hero Project titles revealed in 2019. The game is an action title featuring a rabbit with a mech arm, and we got more details on the game’s story and screenshots via the PlayStation Blog.
The main protagonist of the game is a bunny named Rayton who lost his friend to the Machine Legion that invaded the once-peaceful animal world. After spending the last six years in hiding, he returns to the city he once lived in as a battle-hardened veteran, ready to take down the Machine Legion once and for all.
The game takes place across many districts of Torch City, the once thriving metropolis that now serves as the Machine Legion’s home base. Each area is subtly different, and there won’t be any loading between them. Scattered in the streets are hidden areas with loot, as well as combat gauntlets to clear for upgrades and collectibles.
We also got a look at the game’s combat, which features two main weapons aside from Rayton’s signature metal fist. While the fist is an all-rounder weapon, he can use a whip for greater range or a drill for slower, more powerful strikes.
