New Crash Bandicoot Game Teased by Puzzle and Merchandise

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It certainly looks like a new Crash Bandicoot game could be on the way soon. While there haven’t been really any rumors, there has been an official Activision tease and a product leak. Following Blackfire sharing some merchandise pictures early in June 2020, Activision has sent out a Crash Bandicoot-themed jigsaw puzzle to some press. [Thanks, IGN!]

Here’s a look at the puzzle IGN received. It shows a mask like the ones frequently seen in the series. However, the puzzle is missing pieces, which perhaps would be exactly where a new Crash Bandicoot game logo would be.

As mentioned before, on June 10, 2020 a number of pieces of Crash Bandicoot merchandise appeared on the European storefront Blackfire. It had new character designs for both Crash and his sister, Coco, on keychains, hats, mugs, pins, and other accessories. There was also a new figure that had him posed and taking a selfie.

Here’s Wario64’s tweet showing images of various products. They have since been pulled from the storefront, as people might expect.

While the only original and totally new Crash Bandicoot game as of late was the Crash Bandicoot Mobile endless runner on Android and Apple iOS devices, the character’s older games have received quite a bit of love lately. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
