Last week, we reported the end-of-service announcement of one long-running mobile RPG ending in Terra Battle, and we have another with Dragon Quest: Dokodemo Monster Parade. Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest: Dokodemo Monster Parade will end service on July 31, 2020.
Square Enix started out the message with a big thank you for all the fan support. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Dokodemo Monster Parade will do just that on July 31, 2020 at 4:00pm JST.
The game originally launched for smartphones in Japan on June 25, 2015. Since then, Square Enix continued to keep the game going, but the developers have come to the decision to end service after deciding that it would be far too difficult to continue providing a satisfactory experience for the players.
The micro-transaction currency “Gems” are no longer available for purchase. However, remaining Gems can be used until the end of service date. Lastly, the following items will no longer be available for purchase in the shop:
- 8 Million Downloads Commemoration Pack
- 9 Million Downloads Commemoration Pack
- 10 Million Downloads Commemoration Pack
- 4 Year Anniversary Commemoration Pack
- VIP Pass
- Once-a-Day Expedition Pass (x30 worth)
- Beginner’s Pack
- Training Pack

Dragon Quest: Dokodemo Monster Parade is available in Japan for iOS and Android.
