An Amazon France listing has possibly gotten people’s hopes up about a port of an Atlus RPG. A Persona 5 Royal PC product listing has appeared on the site. It notes that the product isn’t available, naturally, and includes a reminder that people can get downloads of both console and PC games from the site. [Thanks, Wario64!]
Update: Atlus has confirmed the listing was an error to IGN.
If this listing is accurate, this would mark the first worldwide appearance of a Persona game on the PC. Previously, all games have appeared only on consoles and handhelds outside of Japan. Also, only one Persona installment has ever appeared on the PC before. ASCII released Shin Megami Tensei: Persona on the PC in Japan in 1999.
Persona 5 Royal is an expanded version of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 game Persona 5. It adds a third semester to the game, expands upon the role of some existing characters like Goro, and introduces new characters, like the heroine Kasumi.
Persona 5 Royal is available for the PlayStation 4. No Persona 5 Royal PC version has been officially announced.
