River City Girls New Ending Patch Available for Switch and Xbox One

river city girls new ending

In WayForward’s River City Girls, a Kunio-kun spin-off, players follow Kunio and Riki’s girlfriends as they attempt to find and save their kidnapped boyfriends. There’s a standard ending for Kyoko and Misako, but after a patch people could see a River City Girls new ending by fighting the secret boss. While the update giving people that new option arrived on PCs back in January 2020, it is only just now showing up on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

WayForward first confirmed the Nintendo Switch River City Girls new ending update launched on April 6, 2020. Then, on April 7, 2020, it said the Xbox One patch was available too. Once the games have been patched, people can go through game with the Hasebe and Mami earrings equipped to begin the secret boss fight. You get Hasebe’s for beating the game, then acquire Mami’s for breaking every Sabu statue.

This means only PlayStation 4 owners can’t see the River City Girls new ending yet. However, an update is coming. When the Nintendo Switch’s patch was released, WayForward noted the PlayStation 4’s update is in development, but has been slightly delayed for an unrevealed reason.

River City Girls is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The next patch alters the secret boss ending, adjusts the controls so it is easier to travel to different areas or talk to people, and fixes different bugs and technical issues.
