The Space Invaders Invincible Collection will Feature Quality of Life Updates

The Space Invaders Invincible Collection, which will release on March 26, 2020, brings multiple home, arcade, and even mobile entries to the system. Even better, players will have multiple quality of life features that have been confirmed for different games in the compilation. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The Space Invaders Invincible Collection has a lot of of modern touches to it. Now, players will be able to compete online for placement on a ranking board for all the titles in the collection. There will also be a special challenge mode for each title. Playing in this mode will let you take on different timed missions.

Other quality of life improvements include the ability to change your view and take a minute to yourself. You can select the orientation of the screen. Also, players will be able to enjoy quick save and load functions. Finally, you’ll also be able to add scanlines for a retro vibe, depending on the title you play.

  • Space Invaders Original B & W Version (1978)
  • Space Invaders Color Version (1978)
  • Space Invaders Part 2 (1979)
  • Majestic Twelve (1990)
  • Super Space Invaders ’91 (1990)
  • Space Invaders Extreme (2018)
  • Space Invades Giga Max 4 SE (2018) 
  • Arkanoid vs. Invaders (2016)

And here are the Special Edition exclusive games:

  • Space Invaders DX (1994)
  • Space Cyclone (1980)
  • Lunary Rescue (1979)

The Space Invaders Invincible Collection will retail for 5,200 (~$47) for the regular edition and 16,800 (~$152) for the limited edition. Both will release on March 26, 2020.
