Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito were both adamant about getting something done for Nier‘s 10th anniversary and we now have a 10-hour livestream coming our way. Square Enix announced today that an official NieR series 10th anniversary livestream will take place March 29, 2020.

Earlier this month, following the cancellation of the NieR: Automata ‘Stage YoRHa ver.1.3aa’ stage play, Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito tweeted that he’ll do something for the NieR series on March 29. The date marks day 2 of the NieR: Theatrical Orchestra 12020 Tokyo performance which Square Enix also canceled due to coronavirus concerns.

Both Saito and Yoko Taro wanted to do something to make it up to the fans and they decided on a 10-hour livestream. The 10-hour stream will be split into three parts that include paid streams for a NieR: Theatrical Orchestra 12020 performance and the Stage YoRHa ver.1.3aa stage play. The third part of it is described as a “forced talk show” to summarize the orchestra concert, stage play, and more with Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito. The talk show portion of the livestream will be available to watch free.

The livestream will be available through NicoNico Live. More details including the full schedule will be announced on a later date.

NieR Gestalt and NieR RepliCant first released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2010.
