Back at X019, one of the announcements was a cavalcade of Kingdom Hearts Xbox One releases. Past games in the series would join Kingdom Hearts III on the system, thanks to the debut of the different collections that helped tell the full story. Now, after an initial product listing that suggested Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue could debut on February 18, 2020, the Microsoft Store in New Zealand is selling both Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. [Thanks, Reddit!]
The two Microsoft product pages for 1.5+2.5 Remix and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are now live in New Zealand, where it is already February 18, 2020 thanks to the magic of time zones. The former is listed for NZ$89.90, while the latter is NZ$104.90. Buying both of these collections and the third game would give someone every Kingdom Hearts Xbox One game in the series.
As a reminder, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix gives people the following games and movies:
- Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (HD cinematics from the game)
- Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (HD cinematics from the game)
As for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, it gives people these three experiences.
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep—A Fragmentary Passage–
- Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover (movie)
- Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD
Kingdom Hearts III is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are now available on the PlayStation 4 worldwide and Xbox One in New Zealand, and it appears they could appear on the Xbox One worldwide on February 18, 2020.
