NIS America announced that Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen will release this May in the West for PS4 and PS Vita. The remake first released in Japan in April 2018 as Utawarerumono: Chiriyuku Mono he no Komoriuta.
The path before Hakuowlo drifts like a wayward melody, weaving itself into the fates of those around him. Discover the faces of Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen who share in Hakuowlo’s epic tale, from the first note to the final movement. Blades and destinies will clash as the songs of legend reach a deafening crescendo!
The PlayStation 4 version will be available both physically and digitally. However, the PlayStation Vita version is digital-only. The game is a remake of the very first Utawarerumono title, which released in April 2002 for Windows. It first released for consoles in Japan on PlayStation 2 in October 2006. It also released for PSP in May 2009.
As for new features for the remake, it features plenty of enhancements with all scenes in high-definition. The opening movie was also remade and battles are on full-3D fields. The game also has a special mode that allows you to listen to different background music from Utawarerumono games and anime.
