Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada has talked about the Yakuza series before. Namely, he’s talked about Kazuma Kiryu and Tekken-related affairs on Twitter before. However, the latest tweet from him almost makes it sound like there would be another more likely Yakuza-related crossover. To be more specific, people at Bandai Namco think he’d be better suited for a Yakuza role than Kazuma would be for Tekken.
Harada shared the Yakuza anecdote on Twitter. In it, he said he went to discuss Kazuma’s odds at entering Tekken’s ring, but was told he might be better suited for his own cameo.
I approached the board members of my company as you keep saying "Kiryu for TEKKEN" for too long.
A comment from a board member was"I think it’s more natural for Harada to appear in Yakuza games."

Harada has often been quite forthright about different game-related matters on Twitter. For example, in December 2019, he talked about the odds of a Xenosaga HD Collection appearing. He also used Twitter to ask if people still wanted to see Tekken x Street Fighter.
