In Murder by Numbers, players start out as a simple actress named Honor Mizrahi. She only plays a detective on TV. But when her boss winds up dead, she ends up being the primary suspect. She has to work with a robot named SCOUT to clear her name. Then, after that, their skills are called upon to solve other actual murders. Solving nonograms, the puzzles that games like Picross helped make popular, you can find evidence at crime scenes to help you get through each case.

Murder by Numbers also has some star power behind it. All of the characters were designed by Hato Moa, who is famous for the Hatoful Boyfriend series of visual novels. Masakazu Sugimori, who formerly was a composer with Capcom that worked on the Ace Attorney and Viewtiful Joe series, as well as Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

Murder by Numbers will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 5, 2020 and PC on March 6, 2020. As a reminder, it is only a timed exclusive on the Nintendo Switch.
