Rhyhorn Voted in as Pokemon GO’s February Community Day Pokemon

The votes are in, and Pokemon GO‘s February Community Day Pokemon will be Rhyhorn. The spikey Pokemon will be available at increased rates on February 22, 2020 between 11am to 2pm local time in the Northern hemisphere and 3pm to 6pm local time in the Southern hemisphere.

Voting for the featured Pokemon was held on February 1, 2020, and players could decide between Rhyhorn, Dratini, Vulpix, and Machop. Voting was done via special Community Day voting research tasks that counted as ‘ballots’ for the voting contest. In the end, Rhyhorn charged to first place, and Niantic announced the results earlier today.

If players catch and evolve Rhydon into Rhyperior during this month’s Community Day, it will learn the special move Rock Wrecker, which is normally unavailable on the Pokemon.

Additionally, Niantic has announced that Tornadus will be appearing in Raids beginning February 5, 2020. Previously, Landorus was featured in Legendary Raids, which means that Thundurus is the only member of the Forces of Nature trio that remains to be featured in the game.

Earlier this month, Pokemon GO Battle League was launched, which brought new rewards for battling online against other players. You can find more about that in our previous report here.

Pokemon GO is available on Apple iOS and Android devices.
