The first Sonic movie game collaboration has been confirmed. Sega HARDlight has confirmed that characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog film will be showing up in the Sonic Forces: Speed Battle mobile game. A launch date hasn’t been confirmed, but there will apparently be two versions of Sonic and an event.
Only one of the two Sonic movie game characters have been revealed. It is Teen Sonic, the default version of Sonic the Hedgehog we see throughout the film. Only the silhouette for the second character was shown, though it clearly has Sonic’s ears and shape. It will be the first Sonic Forces: Speed Battle character with an Innate Ability. Both will appear alongside a community event.
Here’s Sega HARDlight’s announcement.

Given the Sega HARDlight tweet talking about the second Sonic Movie game tie-in refers to the here’s “genesis,” perhaps Baby Sonic could be on the way. That version of the character was revealed back in December 2019 and will make his debut in the film.
The Sonic the Hedgehog movie will launch in North America on February 14, 2020 and in Japan on March 27, 2020. Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
