Final Fantasy XIV Valentione’s Day 2020 Starts with an Emissary of Love Voting Period on January 29

Final Fantasy XIV kicks off Valentione’s Day 2020 later this month with a voting period to decide on the role of emissary of love.

Adventurers can start the Seasonal Event quest “Of Ardor and Argument” by talking to Lisette de Valentione in Old Gridania. The event quest has a level 15 requirement. Players must also first complete the quest “It’s Probably Pirates” to participate.

Lisette’s three protégés are competing to see which of them most deserves to assume the role of emissary of love for this year’s festival. To that end, a vote will be held to decide who among them can offer the most inspired and insightful advice to Eorzea’s lovelorn.

The voting period starts January 29, 2020 at 12:00am and ends February 9, 2020 at 6:59am PST. The results show up from February 9, 2020 at 7:00am to February 17, 2020 at 6:59am PST.

The event comes with festive garbs based on the emissary you vote for. You’ll only receive one set, but you can also dye them to resemble the other potential emissaries.

A variety of items will also be available for Valentione’s Day 2020 at the Seasonal Shop in Final Fantasy XIV.
