People may have a chance to play the original Sakura Wars game in English. A fan translation of the Sega Saturn version of the game is nearing completion. CJ_Iwakura, one of the members of the team working on it, shared in-progress screenshots and confirmed it entered the final testing phase on Resetera. An estimated release window was not announced.

Sakura Wars fan translations have been ongoing for years. The Iwakura Productions Fan Translations formally announced it was working on PC version back on September 1, 2014. Since then, it has been steadily making progress. On April 24, 2019, CJ_Iwakura said it was joining forces with the Saturn version fan translation team’s progress. As noted on Resetera, the fan translation team and three testers are going through the game.

Here are the screenshots shared by CJ_Iwakura.
