Famicom Tantei Club-inspired game Ise-Shima Mystery Guide: The False Black Pearl released digitally on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, and is also slated to come to the PS4 this month. However, the staff behind the game have also launched a Campfire crowdfunding campaign in order to help a second game get made.

According to developer HappyMeal, while the game was reviewed well and also took high spots in download rankings for the Switch, just those sales are not enough to cover the costs of making a second game, and as such they turned to crowdfunding.

So far, a rough sketch of some character designs has been shown off, as well as the announcement that if the game is made, it will take place in the Tohoku region of Japan. The developer has already done necessary data collection for the region, so that development can begin immediately.

The goal of the crowdfunding campaign is 3,000,000 yen, with stretch goals reaching up to 5,000,000 for a physical Nintendo Switch release. The estimated delivery period is April 2020. As of right now, the game has reached 77% of its goal, with over a month until the campaign ends on July 29, 2019.

Ise-Shima Mystery Guide: The False Black Pearl is available for Nintendo Switch in Japan, and is releasing for PlayStation 4 in June. You can find the Campfire page here.
