New information has arrived, regarding Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Back on August 25, 2018, people at Resetera noticed a European PlayStation Store listing for the game had a portion that said, “In-game purchases optional.” Now, it has been confirmed that the inclusion of that statement was an error and there are “no plans” for the FromSoftware game to include microtransactions. (Thanks, COG Connected!)

This confirmation comes from Wiebke Vallentin, a PR representative from Step-3 working with Activision on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Vallentin said in a statement, “There are no plans for microtransactions in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.” She also referred to the in-game purchases label as “an erroneous tick box.”

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22, 2019. It will be available in a standard edition and a collector’s edition with coins, a statue, an art book, and a soundtrack.
