Bandai Namco confirmed this week that there are currently no plans to bring over the Drum peripherals for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, which were released by Hori for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! in Japan. [Thanks, Bemanistyle!]

The mini drum controllers are meant to simulate the arcade drums, with the middle of the drum registering as “Don” notes, and the edges of the drum registering as “Katsu” notes. While this means that Drum Session! players are stuck using the Dualshock 4 controller (unless the drum controller is  imported), Drum ‘n’ Fun! players do have the option to use the Flick control scheme which is based off the same idea as the drum peripheral, but with an imaginary ‘air drum’.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! will be available on November 2, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch respectively.
