Siliconera got an early copy of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 for Nintendo Switch and we got to check out some of the new content including unlockable stage remixes using the Mega Man amiibo.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for Nintendo Switch has new amiibo challenges to unlock that are not in the other releases.
Here’s a full list of what you can unlock with a Mega Man amiibo:

All of the amiibo challenges from the Nintendo 3DS version of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 are in the Nintendo Switch version. You’ll need a Mega Man amiibo to unlock these challenges, but the game saves right after you get the additional content so it’s possible to borrow an amiibo to permanently unlock these or the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 challenges.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 also has a neat rewind feature where you can hold L to rewind anywhere in a stage. You can rewind all the way back to the beginning of a stage or even the stage select menu. It’s handy for tackling vanishing blocks or Gutsman’s level. There are some new entries in the museum for each game too, mainly an antiques section with scanned manuals, box art, and magazine ads.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 releases for Nintendo Switch releases today, May 22, 2018.
