Tri Wing tasks players with building decks of abilities and attacks, then using them to outmaneuver and outfight their opponents in this Mega Man Battle Network-inspired card battler.
Tri Wing has players build decks composed of forty cards, creating their own strategies based on favored battle styles, disrupting enemy attacks, or executing their own complex combos in order to win the day. Players will want to keep their robot’s Fuel levels in mind (like Magic: The Gathering’s mana), as they can only power so many abilities during one turn, so having too many expensive cards in a deck can make for headaches later.
Once a deck is chosen, players will fight it out in an arena, taking all the time they need to plan out their attacks during their attack selection phase, followed by watching their abilities go off in real time during the grid-based battle that follows. Here, players will use buffs, slow-mo, position manipulation, and regular and EX attacks, all derived from the cards they chose to play, hopefully taking out the enemy if they’ve outplayed their foe’s choice in cards.
Tri Wing is available now on Steam Early Access, and is slated to be available soon on iOS and Android devices. The game will feature cross-play across all platforms when they release as well.
