Nintendo recently released press details and a new trailer for the Toy-Con Garage, a mode that lets players create their own Nintendo Labo applications through creative input and output manipulation.

According to Nintendo, the Toy-Con Garage, accessed through a manhole-like button on the Nintendo Labo software, allows input and output selection through “nodes”. Input nodes include things like specific button presses and motions, while output nodes are reactions like buzzing or sound effects.

For example, an input node could be gently shaking the Joy-Con, with a middle node of a certain number of times shaken, and it may trigger an output of a sound effect. These nodes are compatible with the Toy-Cons, such as making the fishing rod capable of steering the RC car. This lets users create their own experiences using simple conditional experiences.

The first trailer for the Toy-Con Garage can be found below:

Nintendo Labo will be available on April 20, 2018 for Nintendo Switch.
