Nintendo of France managing director Philippe Lavoué recently stated in an interview that the company does not have current plans for 4K or VR gaming at the moment, in an interview with Les Numériques. [Thanks, Nintendo Life!]

Lavoué expressed that consumers are not patient with entertainment if it is not all-inclusive, so he doubts VR headsets appeal to the mainstream market. 4K TVs were not adopted by the majority either, and he mentioned that Nintendo couldn’t invest in everything.

He stated that if Nintendo does the exact same thing, then they would die as they were smaller compared to their rivals. The Switch’s advantage was that it could fit into people’s daily lives.
